Oakland works out on many floors

Oakland fitness space is often stacked vertically. Downtown clubs spread free weights, cardio and studios across several floors, and campus fitness centers split their rooms between levels as well.

Add the fitness rooms inside downtown office towers and apartment buildings, and a typical Oakland gym route climbs stairs and elevators as much as it crosses open floor. We plan every visit floor by floor so no level gets skipped.

Shower stalls, vanities and restrooms

A locker room tells members more about a club than its equipment list. Our crews work each shower stall from the ceiling line down: walls, doors or curtain rods, soap shelves, grab bars and the floor drain. Soap film comes off the tile and grout, and drains are cleared of hair before the stall is rinsed and squeegeed dry.

Vanity counters, sinks, faucets, hair dryer stations and mirrors are wiped and polished, and locker doors, handles and bench tops are cleaned end to end. Toilets, urinals and partitions are disinfected, dispensers are refilled with paper and soap we supply or the stock you keep on hand, and wet tile is finished dry so the next member steps onto a floor that looks and feels clean.

Platforms, turf and cardio rows

Lifting areas collect chalk, sweat and grit. Platforms are swept and damp-wiped, rack uprights, J-hooks and safety arms are wiped, and plate trees and dumbbell rows are cleaned along their handles and shelves. Benches get the pad, the frame and the adjustment pin, and every cable machine is wiped on its grips and seat.

Treadmills, bikes, rowers and stair climbers are wiped on their consoles, rails and seats, then the floor around each unit is cleared of dust and lost water bottles. Turf is vacuumed to lift grit from the fibers, rubber tile gets a pH-neutral wet clean that keeps its surface from drying out, and hard floors in stretching corners are damp-mopped. Periodic machine scrubbing of rubber and hard floors is booked through commercial floor care.

Studios, the front desk and staff rooms

Reformer and group studios are reset after the last session. Reformer carriages, footbars and straps are wiped, spin bikes are cleaned on bars and saddles, mats and blocks are wiped and stacked, and the mirror wall is polished edge to edge. Glass doors and interior windows into the studios are cleaned so the room looks inviting from the hallway.

At the entrance, the check-in counter, scanners, lobby chairs and any retail shelf are dusted and wiped, and the walk-off mats are vacuumed. Offices behind the desk, the staff break room and the coaching office are on the same route, with desks, kitchen counters, microwaves, sinks and bins looked after so the people running your club work in a clean space too.

Timed around your member hours

Late-night or early-morning visits mean the first class of the day walks into a finished building. Studios that close after the evening schedule are cleaned once the room empties, and clubs that shut overnight get a complete pass from the top floor down.

For a club that never closes, we divide the building into zones and work them in turn. One locker room is cleaned while the other stays open, a lifting floor is finished section by section, and the busiest areas are saved for the quietest stretch of the night. Members keep working out while the crew moves through.

When the after-work crowd arrives, day porter services keep up with the rush: restocking restrooms, drying locker room floors, wiping grips and emptying bins while the club is at its fullest.

Fitness spaces of every size

Our crews are set up for big-box and 24-hour clubs, community gyms and boutique studios: yoga, cycling, Pilates, functional training, climbing and martial arts. A climbing gym needs chalk dust lifted from ledges and padded floors, a martial arts school needs its mats wiped wall to wall, and the checklist is written for the equipment you actually run.

Smaller rooms count as well. Office fitness rooms, campus recreation spaces, apartment gyms and physical therapy gyms see heavy use in tight quarters, and every bench, table and parallel bar gets the same attention. Touchpoint disinfection and sanitizing can be added to any visit.

How gym cleaning is priced

Price follows the size of your club and how hard it works. The factors are square footage and the number of floors, visits per week, the count of locker rooms and shower stalls, how many studios and lifting areas you run, your opening hours and whether the club stays open around the clock, the flooring, and any porter hours during the day.

We tour the building together, ideally at a slow hour, and turn those factors into a written quote with porter coverage priced as its own line.

A few useful answers

Common questions.

Can you clean our club before the early classes start?

Yes. Overnight or early-morning visits leave locker rooms, floors and studios finished before the first class arrives.

How do you handle a club that stays open 24 hours?

We clean it in zones. One locker room stays open while the other is cleaned, and lifting and cardio areas are finished section by section during the quietest hours.

Which parts of a weight room get wiped each visit?

Rack uprights, J-hooks, bench pads and frames, cable grips, dumbbell handles, plate trees and platform surfaces are wiped on every visit.

Do you clean Pilates reformers and spin bikes?

Yes. Carriages, footbars, straps, handlebars and saddles are wiped after the last session, along with mats, blocks and the studio mirror.

Are the cleaners who work in our gym after hours background checked?

Yes. Every cleaner we send into your club after closing is background checked.
