Clean rooms, calm days
A treatment program asks a lot of its residents, and the building should never add to the strain. When bedrooms are fresh, bathrooms sparkle and group rooms are set up and waiting, staff can concentrate on care and residents can concentrate on recovery. Oakland Cleaning Co handles that background work in a way that stays out of the program’s way.
Your site gets a written plan listing every room, its tasks, its frequency and the hours our crew may enter, and that plan moves with your program as rooms change purpose.
Oakland’s treatment network
Oakland’s treatment programs run the full range, from outpatient counseling to residential treatment and recovery homes.
Those programs occupy every kind of building: Victorian houses converted into residences, clinic suites in office buildings near downtown, and multi-floor facilities combining counseling space with resident wings. The cleaning plan is built for the building you have, not a template.
Bedrooms, bathrooms and showers
Resident rooms are dusted from shelves and door frames down to bed frames, nightstands and baseboards, with sills, switches and handles wiped and the floor cleaned last. Residents’ possessions are left exactly as they were; our cleaners work around them rather than moving them.
Shower rooms and bathrooms are the core of each visit. Tile, glass, fixtures, grab bars and drains are scrubbed, and touch surfaces then receive an EPA-registered disinfectant that stays wet for the contact time on its label. Soap, paper towels and toilet paper are replenished, from supplies we bring or your own stock, and deeper grout and partition work can be scheduled through commercial restroom deep cleaning.
Therapy rooms, dining rooms and offices
Group and therapy rooms are reset when the last session ends: seats returned to your layout, tables and boards wiped, tissue restocked, carpet vacuumed. Family visiting rooms, art and activity rooms and quiet rooms are handled the same way.
Dining rooms and kitchenettes are cleaned after the evening meal, covering tables, chairs, counters, sinks and appliance handles, and mopping beneath every table. Intake counters, staff offices and visitor lobbies close out the route, with desks, phones, door hardware and seating wiped and waste and recycling removed.
Following your protocol
Every program has house rules for cleaning: the products on its approved list, the rooms crews may enter while residents are in them, and the steps that clear a room after someone leaves. We gather those rules on the walkthrough, write them into the plan and change the plan whenever your policies do.
For a discharge or a full room reset, terminal cleaning can be booked: walls, vents, light fixtures, furniture, mattress covers and floors, worked from the ceiling down until the room is ready for its next resident. Ongoing touchpoint programs are described on our disinfection and sanitizing page.
Respect and privacy
Cleaners complete bloodborne-pathogen safety training before working in your building and keep to HIPAA-aware conduct: records, sign-in sheets, screens and mail stay untouched and unread, and conversations overheard on site stay private. Everyone assigned to your program is background-checked.
Crews knock before entering, speak quietly and work around sessions. They avoid rooms while sessions run, and supervisors conduct quality inspections and take questions to staff, never to residents.
Hours and pricing
Offices are usually cleaned after hours, resident areas during a daytime window you choose and group rooms once programming ends. Around-the-clock residential sites often combine a night visit with day porter services to keep restrooms, lobbies and dining rooms tidy through the day.
Price is set by resident rooms and baths, group and office square footage, the disinfecting steps in your protocol, visit frequency and any terminal cleans. A walkthrough leads to a written quote; send your address and program hours through our contact page.
A few useful answers
Common questions.
Do cleaners stay out of rooms during counseling sessions?
Yes. Your session schedule is in the plan, and crews enter group rooms and offices only while they are empty, and keep corridor work brief and quiet.
Which cleaning products will be used in our building?
The ones your protocol approves. Your program also sets the room order and how a room is cleared after a discharge, and the plan follows those rules.
When would we book a terminal clean?
After a discharge or whenever a room needs a complete reset. Walls, vents, fixtures, furniture, mattress covers and floors are all cleaned.
Is every cleaner sent to our program screened first?
Yes. Every cleaner assigned to your program is background-checked and follows HIPAA-aware conduct around records and residents.
